Dr Dhali's Weight Loss Tips !

What ! Another blog on weight loss ! 
Yes ! I have to and will write about this major problem that is now facing most of the people around the world ! Over weight and obesity has become a serious health issue ! On the surface it looks like that it is a simple issue of either eating too much or just not being active enough to burn off the fats !
If it was so simple an issue , how come we are not able to control or manage to reduce the extra weight that we are carrying around ?!
If simply dieting could have done the job , then there are enough ways/plans and methods to guide us towards understanding our foods . Yet , with all the knowledge about diets , we actually find ourselves more confused and lost ! The frustration and contradicting claims by all the experts has not brought us any closer to a solution ! We are as lost as ever and the situation is getting worse around the world ! There are all sorts of numbers being thrown around . It can safely be said that at least about 2 billion people are within the range of being or going in the direction of being over weight !
It also appears that in spite of all the diet programs , it again appears that they are not working in the long run !
Centres to help with over weight problems are mushrooming every where . They are helping some and are very profitable ventures , yet not very useful to the majority , especially those who really need them ! Same goes with exercise programs . All the effects towards doing something about over weight is just skimming the surface . 
Weight loss is a real challenge and that too a long term plan . It's a change in lifestyle that is needed .
There are no quick fix methods that can do the trick ! 
We need to get serious and face the reality if we really want to improve our health in the long run .
Just remember that it is not a short term measure . 
Weight loss is a biological and psychological issue that must be managed slowly and gently over along period towards going for controlling rather then doing any drastic measures .
We have to be realistic and not to over expect results soon !
Today , on New Years day , I sit here at just past mid night to write this blog because to me this is a real health problem ! My 2014 resolution is to help and guide as many people as I can !
I know what I am writing or talking about . I am no spring chicken ! I have seen enough of my patients and others struggling with their health problems . Overweight being a major problem .
Just remember one point for today , overweight is not a quick fix problem . It is a long term lifestyle issue that needs to be seen for the long run !
I will be sharing more as soon as the New Year mood is over !
